Thank you for considering publishing with us. We are open for submissions for our first volume.
The theme for our inaugural volume will be Deliberately Queer(ing). The full call for submissions can be found on our Call for Submissions page.
Submissions of manuscripts will receive a desk-review from the editors-in-chief to check for suitability with our journal. This will mainly include ensuring the first author is a graduate student or recent college graduate and that the manuscript has a queer focus. If the editors-in-chief determine the manuscript does not meet those requirements, the corresponding author will be notified of this decision.
If the manuscript is chosen to move forward in the process, it will be sent to a minimum (and likely maximum) of two peer-reviewers. If more experienced reviewers volunteer to mentor newer reviewers, the manuscript will be seen by three peer-reviewers. If the reviewers and editors-in-chief determine the manuscript is ready for publication or accepted for publication pending revisions, the author will work with an associate-editor to move the publication process forward.
At this time, we do not know of a submission to decision timeline.
Review articles will be sent from the editors-in-chief to the appropriate review editor and the process will continue from there. Please email the editors-in-chief or the review editor prior to submitting a review.
